 W.A.S.P. is a band that began as "America's most dangerous band," experienced ups and downs, but remained true to hard rock. Blackie Lawless is a living legend who transformed from a flamboyant youth into a serious conceptual musician. W.A.S.P. became famous for their extreme stage show, which shocked audiences in the early '80s even more than the performances of Alice Cooper or Ozzy Osbourne.

 W.A.S.P. had a profound influence on genres such as thrash metal and symphonic metal. They are considered "founding fathers" of American hard rock, alongside Mötley Crüe and Twisted Sister, yet they have maintained a reputation as "America's most dangerous band." In 2019, they were inducted into the Metal Hall of Fame.
